DBSF har d.d. med mail modtaget brev fra EMAU, hvori de oplyser, at GP1 - der skulle foregå i april på Rhodos, Grækenland, desværre er taget af kalenderen.
Begrundelsen herfor er, iflg. Mr. Gerasimos Raptis, General sekretær i det græske bueskytteforbund, at det Græske Sportssekretariat - gr. den økonomiske situation i Grækenland - ikke ville give dem lov til at afholde stævnet.
Udddrag af skrivelse fra EMAU: "Mr Gerasimos Raptis, Secretary General of the Hellenic Archery Federation “We are at the unpleasant position to inform you that the Hellenic Archery Federation is unable to conduct the 1st leg of the European Grand Prix. The reason which we forced us to take such a decision is that the Greek General Secretariat of Sports didn’t give us the permission to undertake such an event, given the current financial situation in Greece”.
For the above mentioned reason, now EMAU is forced to deal with the removal of the 1st leg of the Grand Prix 2010 from the international calendar."
